Innovation is no longer a side project. It’s part of the day job.
The Design Thinking & Lean Innovation workshop is built for organisations that want their own people to lead that change. Over 2 focused days, participants work on real challenges from your business and learn how to move from vague ideas to tested solutions with clear evidence behind them.
The workshop combines human-centred design thinking with the disciplined mindset of lean startup. Participants learn to understand customers, frame the right problem, experiment with options, and refine concepts based on real feedback—not assumptions. By the end, they’ll have worked through the full cycle from initial insight to a concrete, testable concept.
Who Should Attend
This workshop is aimed at people who carry responsibility for innovation, coaching, and transformation inside the organisation, including:
- Internal coaches and facilitators
- Managers driving innovation or change initiatives
- Digital transformation leads
- Innovation champions and product owners
- Corporate entrepreneurship teams
If your role involves guiding others, shaping new services, or building internal innovation capability, this programme is designed for you.
What Will You Learn
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Explain the fundamentals of design thinking and lean innovation.
- Understand how these two approaches complement each other in real projects.
- Use practical tools to guide and coach teams through innovation work.
- Look at problems from a whole-of-value-stream perspective, not just within one silo.
- Step into the customer’s world and analyse how they experience your products and services.
- Get to root causes and apply structured problem-solving techniques.
The aim is not only to build knowledge, but to build confidence in applying these methods to actual work.
Workshop Approach
This is a highly interactive programme, carefully balanced between input and hands-on work:
- Around 25% of the time is spent on short theory segments and refreshers.
- Roughly 55% is dedicated to experimentation, practical exercises, and group work.
- The remaining 20% focuses on feedback, reflection, and retrospective sessions.
Participants don’t just listen. They try out tools, compare approaches, and get direct feedback. The central thread is the flow of work within design thinking and lean innovation, using a clear, visual framework that they can reuse back in the organisation.
Why This Workshop
Many organisations want to “do innovation,” but struggle to move beyond brainstorming. This workshop changes that.
Participants learn a structured yet flexible way to explore customer problems, experiment with options, and make informed decisions about which ideas to progress. They return to work as internal catalysts—better equipped to support teams, question assumptions, and keep efforts focused on value for customers and the organisation.
